So, I shared with you all about my not so happy corn maze. I decided today to share about the redemption of corn maze happiness. I decided this year to head to The Farm. If you have never been it is so very worth the drive! The maze has a map! And it's the state of Washington!
And all the paths are real roads! And there are two bridges!
And there are cities marked with historical info!
And there is a map!!
Besides all the greatness of the maze there is also tons of way fun stuff for you to spend your day doing. And boy did we do it all! Our day in photos.....
A small side note ...Caleb got a corn kernel up his nose and couldnt figure out how to "blow" it out. From the reaction of staff he may have been the first ever visitor to do this! They were nice, just stunned.

A day of dance!
I have decided to blog a little out of order. I mean it wouldn't be the first time I did something in the wrong order. Today I am blogging about my Saturday. Saturday was truly an amazing day. I got to spend it being the chaperone/chauffeur for nine young ladies. They are one part of the Jubilee dance company, which contains 42 total members. And my, were they a fun group of girls to spend the day with! We spent the day going to several extended care facilities. These young adults really were amazing to watch.
They work hard at what they do and it shows.
The dances they perform are full of emotion and may have caused some tears. Don't worry grandpa your secret is safe here...... These are photos of my most favorite dance. It is the Breathe of Heaven dance. It's about Mary and Joseph and there journey to Bethlehem(it was warm ups so they weren't in costume yet).
I wish I had more of Sam, but she tends to be towards the back and I didn't have the zoom...
After spending the day watching dance I always yearn to dance myself! Here is a picture that only captures a small section of the dance company, but I think captures what kind of fun young adults I spent my Saturday with!

The dreaded corn maze!
I will not mention the dreaded corn maze, yet. Who wants to start a story with the bad. No, I will start with the good. The part where the pumpkin farm was fun and grand. The part where kids enjoyed crate mazes.
Where animals were sweet.
Where we smiled.
Where Isaiah and Abbie melted my heart.
Where walking through the cute decorations was fun.
And, now that the good is recorded...... The dreaded corn maze! I wish I had photos, but I don't. If you haven't noticed the water mark, Sam was in charge of pictures. I will try my best to paint the picture. I entered the corn maze(which I usually LOVE) with my mom, Melia, Kellina, Joshua, Caleb, and three of my friends kiddos. The corn was tall. Really tall. Like hard to see the top of the barn which was the landmark out. 5 foot 2 and 1/2 has never felt shorter! We got several feet in and Josh announced he needed to poop. I asked if he wanted to turn around and he declined. No big deal I thought. We would be out in no time. HA! Away we went, blind to the fact that soon we would be lost. Soon we would be asking other small children which way to go. We went up every path. We went down every dead end. And then Josh gave up. Now, he didn't have an accident, but my poor mom did haul him around. And when we finally did find our way out, (hungry, tired, and done) we learned we couldn't leave because Sam had ventured in with Isaiah and Abbie....... Darn you corn maze! And on a happy note, tomorrow we are heading south to a 12 acre corn maze of Washington State. Here's hoping we don't get too lost.

Portraits
I really love a good photo. I really hate when someone asks for family portraits. I suck at them, so I have decided to research and practice. About two years ago I did some photos for my good friends. Now whenever I go to their house and see them on the wall I cringe. I have made it my mission to update those cringe worthy photos with some that are smile worthy. Yesterday we headed to Sm'Apples, a local apple orchard, to try for nice photos. You have seen this family here before and you have seen my attempts to get people to look at me and smile. I am happy to report that yesterday these kids did amazing!! Here a few of the photos I took.
And yes, they still had some goofy moments! And yes all my kiddos were there, but their pictures you can see on Facebook....okay, I will probably blog them later.

Say what?!
I am sure that is what the boys grandpa thought when my sweet sons opened their sweet mouth. The last time we were at the beach (remember, Labor day at Birch Bay) while grandpa was swimming my boys decided it was time to tell him what they thought of his pecs. Now, my boys don't know what a pec is, but they know what a boobala is. Mommies have them to feed babies. And according to my boys grandpa has got big ones. Yep, they informed him at the beach that he had big boobalas. So glad grandpa has a sense of humor and thought it was cute. Oh, and said I could blog about it.
My boys, I never know what to expect out of their mouth!
