If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram then you have been keeping track of all the fun I have been having with my new workout plan. If not, I thought it was time I updated you! I have hit a wall as far as weight lose goes. I keep trying to remind myself that's okay because all my measurements are smaller than when I started. I never realized how hard it would be to let go of the number on the scale! I am also very happy to report I am feeling better. I can really tell a difference in my health! Yesterday marked day one of week five. And it turned out I got an extra fun workout because I got to do it with my workout buddy! Not only that, but her husband agreed to take some photos for me. I think it will be fun to compare these after another few weeks of workouts. Maybe I'm just weird like that. We started our workout with a warm up. We did a broomstick warm up which I enjoyed. From the same blog I have been using.
Then we did our strength. It was all about the squats baby!
Then I convinced my workout buddy to go for a run. In the rain. 2.8 miles. What a good buddy! See how happy we were.
And look, still pretty happy! Probably because we didn't get eaten by a dog or die of exhaustion....
I think she is wondering what this crazy lady is up to. And why I'm dragging her mom along.
For the record here are my numbers. I started at 160. I'm now at 155. When I started my measurements were chest 41, waist 39 1/2, hips 40 1/2. Now I measure chest 38 1/2 waist 37 1/2, and hips 39 1/2. And my final exciting thing was when I saw my photos I didn't think how awful I looked! Trust me I was worried I wouldn't even want to share when I saw how I really look.

Advent activity, day something...
So I haven't been as on top of these as I thought I would be. We have done a lot of fun things. Like watch Sam dance, decorate ginger bread houses, shop for our siblings, and have a snowman party. Today I will share photos from Sam's dance. Dancing for Joy puts on the best nativity story I have seen! Maybe it's because I love dance so much. You may catch me dancing in my home when the mood strikes. Every year they do a short version at The Port Festival in Fairhaven. Every year it makes me excited for the big show. So, enjoy some of the photos I captured of Sam.
And you may think this is a lot of photos, but I still have plenty more to edit! But those I will just add to Facebook. Stay tuned for a fun blog about my fitness journey! Yes, there will be photos.

Days 4 and 5
Okay, I'm getting behind, but I don't want to not share so bare with me. I will eventually get caught back up....I hope. There are no photos of day four. That's because we watched the Peter Pan Live event on tv. Hard to capture that in a photo. But I am happy to report that the kids really enjoyed it and the next day my house was full of kids who didn't want to grow up. Day five was spent in Everson. We had made plans that didn't work well due to weather, but thankfully my mom called and invited us over for dinner and visiting Santa. So, in the dark, cold night we stood. We waited, we went on a wagon ride, we danced to the band, and ran around the dark park. All of the wait was so worth the moment the fire truck pulled up and Santa came out.
My kids may have been the ones super excited and then yelling about how he was fake. I hushed them quickly to not crush the dreams of small children in the cold. Even after all their yelling they still enjoyed talking with Santa and telling him what they wanted.

Day 3!!!
Today went much better than yesterday! Well, until me and a certain big(teen) helper knocked down the Christmas tree. Lucky for us Sticky is a very strong lady and the ornaments are too!! Today was the day the rest of the house got all dolled up. It is feeling very festive in here now. To bad I'm already sick of Christmas music.... Anyways, today I have a photo of the teen.
See I told you I would get one. She just has to be not looking.
The kids did very well and even the whiney boy who didn't want to help got involved and enjoyed himself.
We have much more up than just this, but I don't have photos of it all. I hope your count down to Christmas is as fun as ours!

Advent day two!
This year(as with most years) my advent goal is to get the kids excited for Christmas. This year however I thought I would add in some giving. You know, so not every activity was I get a hot chocolate with whip cream, I get to eat fudge, I get to go to the spa and have a massage while the kids stay home.....wait, what? Anyways, today was a day of giving. Today we made ornaments for Auntie's tree. I would like to say that when I announced what we were doing every cheered and felt the joy of giving. Instead I had a pouter(who did enjoy it), which caused a not gonna do it child(who never did do it). Sigh. I guess it will be a work in progress this year. So, on to the project. It was suppose to be an easy one with yarn and cardboard. Of course when mom is grumpy nothing is easy. Yep, sometimes I am that grumpy mom. Now you know. One of my kids might have told me I was being kinda harsh.... I digress.
Josh decided the yarn thing wasn't his thing. Instead he brought a bag of pine cones that his big sister nicely braved the cold to help him collect and decided he would create something from them.
Who could resist this cuteness?!
So we decided to have two projects. One simple yarn one(that is complete).
And one that will take a couple days.

And the countdown begins!!
Today was the first day of our countdown to Christmas! It didn't go quiet as planned because last night one Doyle was throwing up. How did that effect today? Well, that child was not feeling up to going and picking out the tree, which was our first advent activity....But they did join in the second part of the fun, DECORATING!!
You can thank the oldest child for the count down to Christmas this year. It was her special request because mom didn't do it last year....maybe she will show up in some of my other photos.
