New Food

I love to cook!! It relaxes me, calms me, and makes me smile. Especially when I get to eat something super yummy. Yesterday I got this yummy dinner. It is called an Italian Sausage Pie. Really it was the name that first pulled me in. Then the ingredients made it one I had to try. The main thing it requires is time. I started making this at 2:45 and we ate at 5:00. Now, 45 minutes of that was cooking time and 20 minutes was cooling time, but it is still a long time. In my opinion though it was well worth the wait to eat this wonderful dish.
Instead of taking time to write at this recipe I will give you the link to where I found it. Click here to enjoy some good recipes and pretty food photos.

Verbal explosion

My boys are going through just that a verbal explosion. Joshua has always talked more..... at least more words that you could understand. Caleb is the baby who talks, but only he knows what he is saying. This is all changing. Joshua now tries to say every word he hears. It is time for the fun of getting him to mimic what you have just said and seeing what comes out. Caleb has just starting putting things together. His big sentence was I oo ouside( I go outside). It is still all not quite right, but it sure is coming quickly now!
Yes, I do know these pictures have nothing to do with the boys talking. I just thought you may like to know how we entertain ourselves during these raining Northwest days.

A renewed love

For my crock pot that is. I have always loved it, but now I really love it. It has started cooking breakfast for me!! My first attempt was not what I thought it was going to be. My second attempt was yummy. It is a hash brown casserole. I had one similar at a womens' retreat and was glad to find this recipe. Jeff said it was alright, but he much preferred a fresh made breakfast. We both agree though that being able to have a hot breakfast ready as people wake up is a great thing. The boys usually rise first(as far as kids go) and are ready to eat! Being able to put good food out quickly is a very good thing. The girls all come in waves and now they can be dished up something hot and ready to go. I found the recipes at my new favorite blog crockpot365.blogspot.com. Thanks to a link on a friends blog. My next breakfast will be french toast from the crock pot. As for today breakfast will be from the crock pot and so will dinner. I love my crock pot!

One noisy boy

Note the title says noisy not fussy. Isaiah is just that, NOISY. He cries when he needs something, but is far from fussy. He does however make all sorts of noise. He is the gassiest baby I have had. That means a lot of noise comes from GIANT toots and burps. Ones I usually feel obligated to point out were him and not me. He grunts always. The other night his grunting woke up Jeff. When he eats......oh my he is a loud one. Gulping, snorting, and enjoying his food. One top of this list of loudness he has just started cooing. Not to much yet, but I am sure it will pick up soon. I think he knows he is the baby of six and if you want to be heard you better make some noise.

Not related I do plan to get him a bigger bath soon! And the soap you can bearly see off to the side of the sink is one a friend made and I am testing. It leaves him so soft and fun to squeeze. My one complaint is being use to scented soap this one lacks in that area. I still love using it though and my have to do my own batch. You can link here to see her soap magic.
