Spring Training

I decided I would brake down my trip to Arizona.  Since our first day was spent at Spring Training I thought I would start there.  I haven't gone to many baseball games.  I don't really watch it on TV.  I don't know many of the rules, but I do know this was fun!

It was a fun relaxed day in the sun.  By relaxed I mean I fell asleep on a grassy hill.  I had been up since 330am!  This was the first game of three that we attended.  Well, I only attended two because I had a killer migraine during the third game. Each game was at a different stadium,  a different day, different teams, and a new experience. I am so glad I got to go on this adventure with my oldest daughter and get to know my far away family better!  Don't worry, I will blog about them too.

Snow Days

I would love for this to tell you how much I love snow days.  How my family all loves to play together.  How they love to do board games inside when they get too cold outside, but really it's not quite there yet.  We currently have boys who sit in time out for knocking down sisters snowman.
We have one who doesn't enjoy going outside at all(which is fine by me).  And I won't mention the insanity of putting on and taking off all the snow gear!  Okay, so maybe my kids enjoy it more than me.  I get stuck with short sided vision of all the work for 15 minutes of play.  This year though, it was fun!  I learned that with proper snow clothes my kids last longer.  And I finally have boys to play in the snow,

to throw the snow(can you say snowball fight), to eat the snow,

and to dive into the snow!

Today with the snow and sun outside I am actually looking forward to snow play.  And I can't deny how pretty everything looks covered in snow.

Valentine's Day 2014

Normally I am not a big Valentine's Day kinda gal.  I think it's silly to think someone needs to shower extra love out one day a year.  I mean if you're doing it right everyday should be a Valentine's kinda of day right?  Well, maybe not every day.  This year though I decided it would be fun to shower some extra love on my kiddos.  I told Jeff to be prepared that I was going to do fun stuff this year, but not to worry about doing anything for me.  Here is a glimpse of how we spent our day.  It started with a little extra love at breakfast.  There was the adult version(which was served with a fried egg)

and there was the kid version.

Then we headed to friends house to decorate bags for receiving cards.

Eat yummy treats.

Including a heart shaped pizza.

Decorate cookies.

And enjoy eating them! 

It may have been a bit much for some.

It was a very fun day.  I have already started to think of ways to make next Valentine's Day special for my kiddos.  I have decided showing a little extra love never hurt! 

Sweet Charlotte

Finally, I finally got to go and see my friends sweet new bundle of joy!!  Not only did I get to see, smell, and snuggle her.  I got to practice newborn photos with her.  So here she is Charlotte Hadassah Thames born January 31st.

And her mama was nice enough to let me try my hand at some more before and after photos.  For this family I thought it would be fun to include the other kiddos.
