In birth photography the advise I got from a friend and brilliant photographer was shoot fast. I don't think anyone could have shot fast enough to shoot this birth. And it turns out I actually pushed my camera aside, grabbed a leg, and helped mama to realize baby was here(NOW) and she needed to push. That one push was all this babe needed to finish her entrance into this world. Even though no one had believed mama when she said the baby was coming. Even though the doctor had just left the room and nurses caught the baby. Even though the nurse had promised babies don't just fall out(and after admitted this baby did). It was one experience I will never forget. This mama is my friend. This birth was amazing! As I type I cry. It was just beautiful......Here are the photos I did catch. After baby arrived.
Daddy sharing the news with the world.
And did I mention until right before baby came this was like the calmest birthing room ever!
Olivia Faith you came into this world on your terms. You are beautiful and sweet. I can't wait to watch you grow.
And I am sure as I edit more photos I may share a few more....

The Finale Day
Today marks the finale day my twins will be at home with me. At least until June. We have decided to have the twins go to Preschool. I am very excited for them! Today we met the teachers and got to know the class room. Afterwards I decided we should all load up and do something fun. That something was go to the beach! A place I love and hope my children will love. We enjoyed flying kites.
Exploring beach.
Having the ocean kiss our toes.
And playing on a log.
Which was great until Caleb fell off and got all wet. With the little bit of a breeze it didn't take long for him to be freezing and our trip to be over. Over all it was a wonderful way to spend our afternoon. Oh yeah, Melia also took MY picture. I rare thing indeed!

Maternity Photos
They are some of my favorite photos! I love all types! From the more revealing, to the more modest. Yesterday I spent the afternoon at the beach capturing some beautiful shots.
And then the evening at the park getting a couple more!
And since this gal is my dear friend and willing to let my practice to my hearts content I am sure we will do another session before little baby makes her way into this world!
The added bonus was the kids had a blast at both places.

Spring Party 2014
Someone recently taught me the saying "If it weren't for the last minute I wouldn't get anything done". This saying is me to the tee! Wednesday I woke up thinking it was the first day of spring. When I was corrected I was so excited. I texted my last minute party planning buddy and a first day of spring party was planned. Don't worry we also celebrated the last day of winter. You can click here to see how!
Our spring party was so much fun!! The toughest part was finding games and activities that weren't bunny and egg themed, but I think we did great.
The kids started with a butterfly hunt.
They had spring themed snacks.
Then enjoyed pin the stinger on the bee and pin the tail on the bunny(yep, one bunny got in there).
Caleb managed to pin the stinger on his brother!
After that the big girls painted flower masks and the boys enjoyed the great outdoors(they had a craft, but were having too much fun hunting bugs).
Sometimes last minute planning is the best planning!
