I just couldn't wait!

I don't usually post a blog post so quick, but today I just couldn't wait!!!  I got to do some family photos this morning.  Not something I do all that often or that I am that comfortable with.  Today though I couldn't stop editing.
I couldn't stop falling in love.
Such a sweet family.  And this is just a taste of what I got!
And there was even the bonus of a cute cousin to boot!

I got to meet the sweetest little girl this weekend.
I also got to take her photos.
And I am excited to go back for some family photos soon.

Stopping for a photo

So many times I see things I would love to take a photo of.  So many times I have a van full of kids and stopping isn't practical.  Today as I left my newborn shoot I couldn't help myself in the family's yard.
I may have gotten down on their lawn.
I don't think they noticed.
Then I was driving home.  I saw some logs that I often wish I could take a photo of.  Strange, I know.
Today I didn't have kids.
Today I was stopping for photos!

The Itsy Bitsy Spider

The boys had some homework this week.  Some homework that I was excited to do.  Learning about spiders!  Why would I be happy about this? It meant I got to take photos! I got cool web photos.
 I got cool spider bellies.
 Spider backs.
 Spiders crawling across their web.
 And spiders eating.
Yep, I might have enjoyed this homework more than the boys.  They were back in the house long before mom.

Back to school!

Yep, it's that time of year.  Time for the days to grow shorter and the weather to cool down.  I will admit it's not my favorite time of year.  And this year, well, I protested for quite a while before excepting fall is really here.  We have been in school around here for about a month.  It is a fun year around here.  We range from preschool fun.
To high school.  Sorry no photos of the teen who avoids my camera! The boys are enjoying doing school like their sisters.  Josh loves his computer class.  He was so happy to have it.
They are learning to read
and write.  Caleb's favorite part is science, although P.E. is a close second.  Caleb wants to be a scientist when he grows up.  He is often telling me of things he is going to invent when he grows up.  Some are quite clever.
We are also taking classes this year and the boys love to go and be in class. They are learning all about spiders and this afternoon we will be doing a report together(I am already thinking of spider photos I can take).  The girls also love going and being a part of a class room.  They are very good students who enjoy their homework.  Especially Melia. She is a die hard student who loves learning.  Especially her writing class.
We also have added more computer work this year, which is a big hit.  Kellina isn't as die hard as her big sister.  She is much more a day dreamer(like her mama), but in school has had a chance to let her leadership skills shine.  Her favorite class is creative dramatics(no surprise there).
So far Doyle Academy is running smoothly.  Now all I need to do to be official is take some school photos!

Rebel and Jamisyn

Identical twins hold a special place in my heart.  I mean since I had a pair of my own.  So when I was asked to take photos of identical twin girls, I jumped at it.  I figured it would be a good learning experience for me if nothing else.  Rebel
 and Jamisyn were so cute!
And I am always blown away by tiny newborns.
And cute big sisters who like to help.
What always blows my mind about newborn photos is how I have a plan and usually it never goes how I plan.  Most newborns I have taken pictures of love to be on their tummy.  They usually fall right asleep.  Not these sweet girls.  On tummy equaled crying. However on their back they were happy as pie.  Oh well, they were still cute!

The Pirate Park

Yesterday was a beautiful fall day around these parts.  I tend to be partial to the summer, but am trying to embrace the sunny fall days before winter sets in.  In the morning this family had several appointments, chores, school...... But when afternoon came the boys wanted to go to the park.  I let Isaiah pick the park and The Pirate Park was picked!  A.K.A Boulevard Park
When we got there I realized what an amazing park it truly is.  It has a play ground, sandy beach, beautiful board walk, ocean, a train and Woods Coffee(a mommies best friend).   When we got there the boys were thrilled to see a real pirate ship in the ocean(a sailboat with red sails)!
The boys had a blast pretending to be pirates,
checking treasure maps,
and playing.
Mommy enjoyed taking photos!  That may not sound very cool to you, but I have been struggling with intense fatigue.  Not just I'm kinda tired, but like I can't move.  Even the things I love got to be overwhelming!  That meant photography had become a chore.  Something I dreaded and didn't love.  Not yesterday though.  Yesterday I enjoyed every shot.  Every good shot.  Every bad shot.  And most of all the shot that expresses what I love about fall most!
So, I hope you and your family are enjoying these beautiful fall days and hopefully now I will be doing what I love during them!
