You can't crush me

This is the full name of our dog. Just ask Melia she'll tell you how we call him Crush, but his full name is You Can't Crush Me. I've been bugging Jeff for a dog for a little while now. We looked at some puppies, but that didn't work out. I had given up the search when Crush came into our lives. A girl from church breeds miniature schnauzers and had one that needed a good home after coming back from a not so good home. He was perfect in my eyes and Jeff agreed to a trail run. The girls love for the dog is I think what won Jeff over in the end. He is the perfect fit for this family. He is fixed, house broken and not a puppy. In case your wondering he looks more like a mutt then the perfect miniature schnauzer. Like I said he's a good fit for this family.

Random cuteness!

I just thought I should put a few of my favorite little boy shots up for all to see.

Summer Fun!

So here in Washington one never knows what the weather will hold. They often say if you don't like the weather just wait ten minutes. Because of this fact I have learned to embrass the good days as if they will never come again. This spring was very pretty with many hot days. On one of these days my mom and I took all the kids plus one of Samanthas friends to Cranberry Lake. That is at Deceptions Pass in case you don't know and if you don't know where that is well to bad. It was very nice and the water was warm. I didn't believe the girls until I went in myself. It would have been much nicer if the wind would have let up, but it didn't. The boys took their first swim. All I saw of Samantha and her friend were heads way out in the water. That is until Christina's lips turned blue and they tried to warm up. The girls played in the sand(it is a close cousin to dirt) or hid under their towels. It was pretty windy and they needed to warm up some how. The funniest thing was geese came up to say hi and I saw what my family would look like if we were birds. By the way Caleb is in bright orange.

double the laughter, double the fun

I finally got it on tape. The two boys laughing at the same time. Yes I am making dorky mommy talk, but I will do what ever it takes to get a laugh. Ask my husband He'll tell you what a dork I am..

Ballet! Ballet!

Well I now have two dancing princesses in this house. Samantha has been doing Ballet for a few years now and for the first time Melia had joined the ranks. She had her first recital June 14th. She was very cute and not the least bit shy. I thought she would either love being the center of attention or melt down. Turns out she loved it.

Samantha brought everyone to tears when she danced. She is turning into such a young lady and beautiful dancer. She is confident now when she dances and you can see how much she has learned. I can't wait to see how far she goes. While getting ready for this preformance we talked about how God gave us all gifts and everyones are different. She told me that she doesn't have a gift for singing, but she felt she had been given the gift of dance.

Here are a couple short clips of the girls practicing their dances. Melia is the girl smack dab in the middle. And just so you know all those girls are the same age 4.

Our big trip...

Our big trip to visit Jeff's family was a big success. The weather was nice for us because it wasn't to hot. When we drove over it was in the 100's, but while visiting it got cold enough that Uncle Clint had to build a fire for poor old me. I hadn't packed any long pants because the report on weather I got was HOT. We had a blast swimming at the lake. At least until the wind picked up and a storm quickly blew in. We then enjoyed a thunder storm back at the house.Watching the girls sing at their first but not last paid gig was a lot of fun. I was very impressed with how well they did. They preformed in Kettle Falls at Town and Country days. Their music was so good it got people to dance.! Okay so it was their grandpa and Aunt, but it still counts. Hey Amy I think they did a couple of Taylor Swift songs and now Samantha rocks to her CD. Kellina decided I should buy the fire truck:) She also picked out an old car that she wanted at the car show. We also celebrated Kimber and Melia's birthdays with what else a pinata. It was purple in honor of Melia's favorite color. Kimber turned sixteen and Melia turned four. Thank you Kimber for sharing your sweet sixteen.Samantha got to ride a horse with the help of Uncle Clint, which she loved to do.

The little girls got to play with their cousin Megan and now Aspen their cousin over here is always being called Megan. Poor Aspen. The funnest part of playing was being able to be in the dirt. My girls have a magnetic pull that causes them to be in the dirt even if its only one square inch. Luckily Aunt Cheryl is not lacking in the dirt department. Their house is still in the process of being built. This means now grass yet. Its almost all dirt. It is a hay bale house and will be a very beautiful house when finished. Oh yeah, all of our meals came off the BBQ. Even pancakes!
Well that was pretty much our entire trip. I will leave you with the last random photos that I enjoyed. Mom thank you for coming along and being a part of our adventure.

Time to EAT

The boys have started into the world of solid foods. Which if you ask me is a weird name because really none of the food they eat is all that solid. Its more the world of mushy foods if you ask me. Anyways, the mess and joy of a new stage has begun.

Yes, they did well until later that night when the both became very sick and vomited all night. We tried a second time and had the same results. We decided that rice cereal will be given no more. We now give them fruits and veggies. They are doing great with those. Joshua loves bananas and hates carrots. Caleb loves both bananas and carrots. Both babies have decided that they will no longer take a bottle which means long days when I'm at work and Jeff is in charge. I don't know where they got their stubborn streak:)

Bumbos!!

If you're a mom with little babes you may have heard of Bumbos. If not they are a soft plastic seat to put your kids in. They help the not so sturdy to sit up and are compact, so they are easy to pack. My boys decided they don't like them and arch their back in disgust. The girls however loved them. You may ask what they liked about them so much. The answer would of course be that you could put them on your head and then run head first into each other and it didn't hurt. My girls are so rough and tumble!

Feet

If you know anything about me you know I love feet. Not in a creepy fetish sort of way, but in a aren't those feet adorable kind of way. I recently took these photos of the boys and I love them. Baby feet and thighs. The two cutest things around!

We made it!!

Yes, we made it over the mountain and back again. It turns out that a 7 hour drive with nursing babies is more like a 10 hour drive (we had to stop about every two hours to feed), but I'm thinking of going again in August so it wasn't that bad. I learned that its best if Jeff drives and I give directions (not back seat driving which I do a lot of). When stuck in a car that long its good to pee right before you go and don't consume to many beverages along the way. DVD player is a must!! And always remember you will get there sometime and don't have any expectations. It was a blast to see family and learn to drive a 4 wheeler. That is if getting into first gear counts as driving. I can't wait to go over again. Although due to my motion sickness and dislike of the mountains I think we'll go south then east next time. Visit some of the hay fields along the way.

Road trip!!

We are headed out the door in just a few hours to go on our first long trip in Blue. He will be loaded with Jeff, Melia, Kellina, the twins and me. The back will be loaded with all the gear we need to survive. You know bouncy chairs, stuffed animals, blankets, and everything else that makes our world go round. Samantha and Crush (our dog) will be riding with Grandma. Yes that last sentence did say our dog. More on him later. Anyways, we are headed to visit family in Eastern Washington. How east you ask. Well, about 7 hours east. Please if you pray, pray for us. Pray for safety, sanity and fun! When we get back I'll share stories and photos so you all can feel like you were right there with us.
