Saying goodbye....

...to the last days of summer. No not because the sun is gone and the rain has hit. Because we are starting school!!! I am so happy to be in the school year. I am also very happy we have a grandma who lets us come over and enjoy the last days of summer in her back yard.
So long care free happy times hello books and hot chocolate.

The new Kellina

Kellina has had the most beautiful long hair for a long time now, but last night that all came to an end. Not that she doesn't look beautiful, but her hair is gone. Who gave her this new look? Well her dad of course.

No mom I want to look handsome

this is what Kellina told me today while I was taking her picture. I had just gotten done telling her how beautiful she looked. So we did a new photo and this is Kellina's handsome. Not bad if I do say so myself. Then Melia wanted a picture of herself looking like a princess. I don't think I caught the right moment because this is what I got. It doesn't scream royalty to me. Oh well it is still cute.

Daddy face

In this house we like to pretend to be dad. The boys most of all love to put on glasses like daddy. This pair on Joshua was priceless.

Moments

Kellina is known as the goof in this family, but she is also the quiet one. She is very content to sit in the corner reading a book, sucking her thumb, and just letting the world go by. This means that sometimes she isn't always heard. But last night was a great moment. Kellina needed to go to the doctor to get her ear looked at. The only appointment was a 8pm. That meant only Kellina and I attended. As soon as we left her mouth opened and words didn't stop till I tucked her into to bed for the night. The best was when we first got on the freeway.

Kellina yelling: Bad boys!

Me: What.

Kellina: Mom I love that car in front of us! That is why I yelled bad boy. Catch it mom.

Me: I'll try, but it's going pretty fast.

So off I go in my 15 seater van to try and catch a very sporty Corvette. I was safe, but it did involve a few lane changes.

Me: Kellina I just can't catch it. It is to fast for us.

Kellina: That's okay mom cause when I get big I will buy one then I can go fast like it. I like it because of its color and it so small and cute. I will be not slow like this car when I am older.

What a sweet girl with race car love!

Why do I like camping???

Because boys can grow into men. Kids can enjoy the outdoors. Outdoor cooking is perfected. Sisters love a little more. And everyone grows closer together!!

"I don't like tarantulas!"

This is what Kellina yelled as she gazed upon this spider. Okay so maybe it was because I had yelled from the laundry room that Jeff needed to come and kill the tarantula that I just saw. But I did correct her and instead of killing him we tried to identify him. Only it didn't work out well and we just let him go. Run free little tarantula.
