Bam-boom

Last night was softball night again.  After freezing for about thirty minutes near the fields, we decided sitting in the van watching Veggie Tales and eating chocolate cupcakes sounded much better.  So, off we went.  The Doyles and the Thames family living it up.  It wasn't until after the cupcakes that we realized eating them in the van might not have been the best idea.  Oh well, nothing a vacuum can't handle.  Once that was done it was off to the pottys with the boys before I put them in pjs for the ride home.  When they got to the pottys Josh spotted something.  He picked it up and it became his sword(because that's almost always what something becomes).  Then he asked me what it really was.  It is a piece of bamboo was my response.  His next question just made me smile. Mom, how did bam-boom get here?  I didn't correct him and I won't.  I love it way to much when he talks with me about his bam-boom.

Why blogging?

Why do I blog?  If I sit and think about that question there are probably many answers.  But there was one reason I started blogging.  Her name is Amy.  We became friends through work.  And through her husbands work she moved away.  Good for her, she is close to family now.  Sad for me.  And then it happened I got prego with twins.  She was the first person I called after I found out(besides Jeff).  That's when she mention I should blog.  She did it.  We could go and check up on each others growing little families.  Her's turned out smaller then mine.  So that is why I blog.  So people far and wide can be up to date on the silly everyday things that happen here.  And the other day Caleb provided one of those silly day to day things.
He was very sweetly playing with his Smarties.  Yes, the candy.  He was making circles.  Counting them.  Building with them.  Everything, but eat them.  That's when I asked if he wanted to be an engineer when he grows up.  He looked up at me and said,"Mom what's a ninja ear?"  That's when both me and my step-dad lost it.  And that is when I had the moment.  The moment in my head where I think, now that's a blog-able
moment!

Season Opener

Last night marked the first of many softball games to be played, to be rained out, and to have me taking pictures.  Here are the favorites from last night.
What, were you expecting pictures of softball?  That will just have to wait until another game.

30 Days

I have 30 days to make sure my lens is fixed.  30 days to take pictures and make sure it doesn't stop focusing.  And of course for these first few days my kids are sick.  The nasty stomach kind of sick.  But I won't let that stop me!!
I will take photos.
I will make sure my lens focuses!
I will get inspired for some photo sessions I will be doing soon.
Most of all I will enjoy even this time of sickness.

It's back!!

My most favorite thing is back!
What could it be?
It is my lens.
It had stopped focusing.  After searching online for a quick minute I found out it is a common thing to happen.  So common, people posted how to fix it yourself.
For about a minute I thought about trying my hand at taking it all apart, fixing it, then putting it back together. And while I consider myself a mechanical person(mom always calls me when she needs something put together) I decided to leave this to the pros.
Which meant I had to go weeks with out it, but it is back!!
And my sweet son, who is laying so nice for photos,
is sick.  It is the only reason why he laid so still for these pictures.

Can you say....

handsome?
Or beautiful?
How about both?
No, how about goof ball?
Please note, these were taken March 31st, Easter.  People have bare feet and I got a sun burn!!  And Sam is at an age where I have to beg, borrow, and steal to get her to pose for a picture.

My advice

If you have big plans to go to the beach know if its low tide.
And have a back up plan for fog.  Just saying.
