Wow!

Really that's all I can say about what I got to do.  I got the extreme honor of being at a birth and capturing the moment!  It was truly amazing!
I probably don't need to type any more, but I am.  It was expected to be a very easy, fast labor. It wasn't.  Well, it was easy thanks to an epidural,
but it wasn't quick.  Baby kept showing signs of stress so slow was the name of the game.  It did give mom some time to rest and relax.
It also meant when baby came every one sighed a big sigh of relief.
This was such a wonderful event to be part of, I hope to do it again one day soon!

600 POSTS!!

I can't believe this is post number 600!!  I am going to use it to share some of my favorite nature photos I took recently at Hovander Park.  Nature shots are new to me.  And I really like them.  So much, that I try to always have my camera on me and have been tempted a couple times to pull over and took a picture.  Once one I-5, but I decided that wasn't safe.  So, here they are, nature at Hovander.

Announcement!

This summer I had the pleasure of helping a friend figure out how she would publicly announce some very good news.  With the help of Pintrest, my camera, and some editing we came up with several options.  And I loved doing it so much I would have come up with many more if time aloud.  We decided though that if we kept doing them soon there would be a new born in the photo.  So here is a sample of ones we did.
This is the with out kids approach.
And the with kids approach.  I much harder approach!
Even when it's just their feet, it is hard!
And this one doesn't really announce anything, but I like to add the caption,"What I'm not going to be the baby of the family any more?"
To see which one mama picked you can check out her blog here.

Flashback blogging: Lake days

This is the first of some of my catch up.  Not for you readers, but for myself and the memories I am trying to keep.  So it is that time of year around here.  The time where we seem to find ourselves at the lake cooling off.  Our first visit of the year was a lot of fun.  The twins loved the water.  This visit was before Caleb was in a cast.
And Isaiah found himself enjoying the sand.
And while my kids are supper cute, I kept finding myself taking photos of this little guy.
He was just so sweet.
And little.
And his mom said that of course I would take a ton of photos of him because he was the cutest one there.
I am sure she is totally not bias at all!
Lake days are something I look forward to all year.  I am not certain how they will be now that Caleb can't get his arm wet, but hopefully still fun.

If you're handsome and you know it.

Not that I would encouraging bragging, but.....
Come on, really?
Too cute, and I think he knows it.
And right now he is the only boy who enjoys getting in front of my camera.
Or can hold still long enough for a photo!
So, if you are handsome and you know it, say cheese!
