The first real camping trip. (part 1)

Not the first time we have thrown up the tent and called it camping. But the first real trip to some where other then here with tents, friends, and oh yeah TARPS. We have finally out grown one tent and now the girls get their own. Which turns out leaks. Did I mention we needed tarps. We didn't have any packed with us, but luckily we were in Winthrop and they have a hardware store. We supplied the tarps and our friend climbed the tree to set them up. Since we are talking rain I think now would be a good time to mention how much it doesn't effect kids and their ability to have fun. We did have a lot of fun and nice breaks in the weather. The campgrounds were along a nice loop so the kids had fun riding bikes around. Melia conquered her fear of the big hill and Kellina couldn't get enough of riding. Samantha is old enough now that she would take off and come back as she pleased(no going on the main road). We(I) spotted a lot of wild life. We assigned dollar amounts to different creatures and the hunt was on. The neatest thing I spotted was a coyote. No pictures of it. But there were also lots of birds and genie weasels as we liked to call them(marmots). Our campgrounds were also by a lake which we had planned to fish on. With the not so nice weather the only fishing that happened was with Melia's play pole. One nice thing about it is you always get a fish.
And since this is so long and I have sooooo much more to share I will make it part one and finish a different day.
