Kids and chicks

That's what we went to see yesterday. A friend (http://www.squawcreekranch.blogspot.com/) had a annual petting zoo at her house. Well, because of weather it was actually in her house. She has a mama goat who just had triplets and her daughter just incubated a batch of chicks. What fun the girls had playing with the chicks and kids. Melia got to hold a baby goat! She didn't let go of that goat for at least 45 mins. Joshua loved to snuggle with it as Melia held it. Ands it(Barbie) liked to chew on Melia. Kellina enjoyed picking up the chicks for about 5 seconds then tossing them back into their area. Samantha's favorite thing had nothing to do with the animals. It had everything to do with the tree house. Although she also had fun watching the mama goat get milked. The boys pretty much didn't care about the animals. They enjoyed the cookies! Although Caleb did like throwing blocks at the baby goats and watching them scatter. Yes, I did stop him. They both liked to play in the straw. I just convinced myself that it was clean enough and they both got a good scrub down when they were done. And this post wouldn't be complete without a cute shot of another kind of kid. This is Gracie she brought me chick after chick to hold.

  1. How fun!! We love to go to Tractor Supply at Easter time because they always have big tubs FULL of chicks and baby ducks along with bunnies! I think a baby lamb is quite possibly the sweetest creature. The kids look big :(
