As for Melia she has been working on a bookmark for her great grandma. Great grandpa passed away shortly after Thanksgiving and we are sending great grandma a box of love.(She lives in Arizona)
Here is the bookmark, which has turned out to be a great project for my girl who is always on the go. She has to sit and concentrate for longer periods of time. The other practice that has been happening has been baby prep. You may not have noticed. but in Samantha's pictures she has on a sling. In that sling is her baby. While knitting she would stop to care for her baby. She also took the time to have Melia help with the diapers so she would be ready for the newest boy soon to come. First, dirty diaper removed. Second, clean diaper put on (love those snap-ez). Then a lot of time was spent learning how to snap the cloth diaper. It finally took both girls and the knowledge you couldn't just push on the babies tummy. You need something firmer like a finger. In the end there was one happy baby and one proud Melia. I think I will have some good helpers when this new baby comes into the world. All because of some good practice.Saturday, December 11, 2010
Practice makes perfect!
And there has been a lot of it going on around here lately. Practice that is. When nap time hits the big girls in this family start working on Christmas gifts. The picture above is my work. I have just learned to knit and am working on scarfs for gifts this year. The one pictured will be Kellina's. Samantha has also learned to knit and is hard at work doing wash clothes that will go with our home made soap.

Ruth, your knitting is beautiful. I love learning new things, particularly hand crafts. Please keep posting pictures-I'm inspired by you!
